Lost Spoilers Central - Have Faith

This will be the first and last time I post on what really goes on behind the scenes at Contender’s Lost Spoilers Blog central… until the next time of course!

After every spoilers post we (you, me and everyone else participating here) get hundreds of comments oh maybe one or two sometimes, that basically say, how in the world did you find out that spoiler? … come on tell me please please please. … it cannot be true… Although we greatly enjoy receiving them, we rarely publish each one since the computer keyboard keys are getting worn out. The answer is the same every time … Hehehe just wait and see … just read what we wrote … or, wanna get someone fired?

(The editor)

The fact is we get literally thousands of reads on each article and cannot begin to say how grateful we are for how huge and energized the Lost TV show community is. And we know for a fact ABC is too despite whatever inaccurate article du jour hits the wires on ratings.

Rest assured each and every one of the Lost spoilers is completely usually 100% verified by our vast real or non-existent network …lol. Let’s not get too worried after all we all are having fun, that is what real Lost spoilers are about. Just look at the track record … pretty darn good. So if you have any doubts in Contender, start having some faith :) we love you too.

Nothing stirred up the dust like the Lost spoilers we posted months ago on the fact that Kate and Sawyer were breaking up. For those of you who do not know, there are bulletin board websites devoted to discussing nuances of the Kate-Sawyer relationship, sometimes called Skate or Skater boards. There also are boards on Kate-Jack (it’s on), Jack-Juliet (it’s on), Desmond-Penny and so on. Nothing pissed off the skaters more than when we broke the spoiler on the Kate-Sawyer splitsville.

Now that that Lost spoiler finally was broadcast in Episode 10 “Tricia Tanaka is Dead" of course, every fair-minded skeptic realizes … have faith in Contender!

Going away for a couple of days so adios, au revoir, shalom, and c u soon!

Lighten It Up Lost Spoilers Hooray

Lost Spoilers Update: Next week is "Enter 77", Lost Season 3, Episode 11 - A Sayid - centric episode and learn what our favorite Iraqi commando torturer was doing visiting Paris (France, not Hilton) anyway. As usual, we'll have all the spoilers for that episode in a few days. The Tricia Tanaka is Dead (Episode 10, Feb. 28) episode spoilers and clues summary will come shortly after the broadcast. Check back soon.

[original]

A number of Lost spoilers and fake misdirection Lost spoilers are floating around the Internet on the upcoming Lost episode, “Tricia Tanaka is Dead”, Lost Season 3, Episode 10 from ABC TV.

Count on us to help you sort it out. So here are the new spoilers bearing the Contender’s Lost Spoilers blog seal of approval, all 100% verified and accurate …. Insert your favorite Not Joke here. And, thanks for sending some in Ms. Anonymous, you know who you are!

In the flashback, Hurley spends a lot of time with his mom and dad, shown here having dinner at his mansion’s pool. This is the mansion Hurley bought with his super mega lotto jackpot millions. Notice the Dharma – esque design on the pool wall.

Hurley loves his cars, but is depressed over how unlucky those darn numbers are, killing poor Tricia and clobbering the Chicken Shack with a meteor. His daddy Cheech is smiling though, and wishes Hurley would not go to Australia. Hurley has a car collection at home in his mansion, including his love, the red baby on blocks in the foreground, and notice the Hummer in the back:

This follows on nicely with the current Lost island story, in which Hurley discovers the VW bus, and Jin and Sawyer help him get it on the road. Here are a few promo pictures:

Roger the skeleton enjoying a Dharma beer:

Vincent the dog is back, after digging up bones, so to speak. He comes running to the beach, giving Roger the skeleton a hand … Er, I mean, with Roger the skeleton’s hand, in Vincent the dog’s mouth, yum. No wonder nobody wants to help Hurley get the car started, after all, poor Roger was the driver.

Hurley is so glad to have Sawyer back, it is love at first sight!

So, now that Sawyer is, um with Hurley, Kate is alone again. But really, Kate embarks without Sawyer on her mission to track down Danielle Rousseau to help out with freeing Jack. Rousseau resists, but the revelation of Alex, who may or may not be her daughter may or may not carry the day :). Tune in later in the season to find out. With a huntress like Rousseau, who needs a trained Iraqi commando torturer like Sayid?

Good thing Roger got himself together, as he gets ready for a drink with his buds Sawyer, Hurley and Jin:

Lost Theories: Desmond Flashback - Real or Fake?

Desmond Returns From His Flashback

I've been getting a lot of questions about the Desmond Flashback in Lost Season 3, Episode 8 "Flashes Before Your Eyes". So, this really is not a Lost spoilers post, but more like a Lost theories post. There is no spoilers-y explanation for it since the spoilers actually are in the creators' intentions. Like a lot about Lost, this was a thinking person's flashback. Not necessarily a tight linear narrative, but rather thought provocation about the rich mystery of the Lost TV series island itself.

What happened was, the flashback was of Desmond's experience as he turned the failsafe hatch key in the season finale of Lost Season 2. Desmond turns the key and is blown clear out of the hatch, and onto the surface of the Lost island. He is unconscious and covered with blood. His life flashes before his eyes, hence the episode 8 title. Desmond was remembering key events of his life, with an overlay of his present experience. The island references, recognition of Charlie and so on were all an overlay of dream on Desmond's memories of his life.

That is my favorite theory among the millions of theories floating around. One theory for each of the 20 million or 14 million or zillion Lost TV show fans... whatever ... If you KNOW, you know what I mean. :)

Back to the theories discussion: you cannot really decipher all that is dream from that which was real, and of course that was the intention of the Lost writers. Alternatively, if you are a cynic, it was just an entertaining mishmash, or you could say Desmond was travelling through time. To give a bone to that camp, the writers conveniently wrote Desmond naked, as losing his clothes. In one literary embodiment of the time travel myth, you lose your clothes when you return home. So, under such a theory Desmond actually time - travelled back to his past and lost his clothes upon return.

Official Season 3 Spoilers, Part 2

ABC now has released their "teaser" for the mid-season premier of Lost. It contains a lot of "spoilers", which if history is the guide, may potentially, maybe, possibly ... ok probably maybe has some misdirection. It included a group photo that omits Mr. Eko, not a surprise:

Here are the Lost spoilers we believe are verified:

  • More for the Guys Lost Spoiler ... ABC now has officially stated the "second act" of “Lost” season 3 (or Lost series 3 as the Brits might say) has "action-packed mystery and adventure". You might say ... well duh. However this actually is a concealed spoiler. Before season 3 began, the creators of Lost were hyping the "relationship" aspects of the upcoming season. Although they provided the sort of answer on who Kate picked (Sawyer) they also did not adequately address the male demographic largely responsible for all the grumbling about lack of "answers" for Lost this season. This is ABC's clue that we can expect an attempt to bring everyone home to the Lost fold.
  • ABC has not forgotten about all the mysteries for which we want some attention. How do we know that? They summarized them all in their release. They have not forgotten!
"the island holds many secrets, including a mysterious smoke monster, polar bears, a strange French woman and another group of island residents known as “The Others.” The survivors have also found signs of those who came to the island before them, including a 19th century sailing ship called The Black Rock, the remains of an ancient statue, as well as bunkers belonging to the Dharma Initiative -- a group of scientific researchers who inhabited the island in the recent past."
  • Juliet – the Others' fertility doctor - makes a "shocking" decision that could endanger her standing with her people. Remember, she will shoot someone.
  • Look for a Charlie storyline about his future, as revealed cryptically by Desmond

Here is one that looks like misdirection: "can the survivors find a way to interact with the outside world". Our prediction is No. Although the Others might, we predict Sawyer, Locke et al. will not.

Here are some excerpts from the ABC Lost press release, but as usual, be wary of misdirection contained in it:

"As the second part of Season Three opens, Jack seems to have gained the upper hand, as Ben’s life literally rests in his hands. His demands are simple – release Kate and Sawyer as prisoners of “The Others,” let them safely return to the island and he’ll stay behind. But does Jack have a hidden agenda? Kate finally made her romantic decision between Jack and Sawyer by choosing the smitten con man – but were her feelings for him genuine? Juliet – one of “The Others” -- makes a shocking decision that could endanger her standing with her people. After the death of Eko, Locke’s obsession to uncover the secrets of the island leads Sayid to believe that his intentions may not be in the best interests of his fellow survivors. Sun and Jin will continue to celebrate their pregnancy – but is the child really Jin’s? Just as Charlie returns into the good graces of Claire and her baby, Aaron, Desmond drops a bombshell on him that could change the course of his life forever. After the hatch imploded and the electromagnetic charge was expelled, questions arise as to what effects it had on the island – as well as the outside world. Will Penny Widmore find the island and her long, lost love, Desmond, and can the survivors find a way to interact with the outside world?" No.

How about this reference to "heroes": "Even heroes have secrets." A lot of people are speculating on a connection between the NBC show and Lost. We can confirm there is no connection except the creators of Heroes are admirers of what Lost has achieved.

Summary of the stars not including Eko or Ana-Lucia. Don't look for their return flashbacks soon.

Naveen Andrews as Sayid
Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond
Emilie de Ravin as Claire
Michael Emerson as Ben
Matthew Fox as Jack
Jorge Garcia as Hurley
Josh Holloway as Sawyer
Daniel Dae Kim as Jin
Yunjin Kim as Sun
Evangeline Lilly as Kate
Elizabeth Mitchell as Juliet
Dominic Monaghan as Charlie
Terry O’Quinn as Locke.

Spoilers for Post-Hiatus - "Not In Portland", Season 3, Episode 7

Spoiler Alert: Don't read this if you don't want to know the future of Lost.
*Updated*

Ok, here we go with the new Lost Spoilers Blog. This enry will have the spoilers as best I can expertly and with 2 zillion % accuracy can discern from the vague and muted rumblings from the all-powerful creators ;).

Let's get serious now, after all, Lost spoilers is serious business... NOT.

Ok, let's try again, the producers and ABC’s spin-meisters are out there churnin’ and churnin’ to keep interest in the show during the 13 week hiatus. So, there have been repeated spoiler leaks, not to mention the Lost Nuggets that are being broadcast on Daybreak. One thing about Daybreak: *updated*: I WAS liking it - making me a minority of one! (old: I'm liking it! Surprise Surprise!) *Another update*: It's ratings were terrible, so it's gone (old: It's ratings have not been very good though, so don't worry Lost fans, it won't "spoil" our fun!).

During the hiatus, be on heightened alert for mis-direction and false rumors. (UPDATE: There have been a million already.) A lot of the operatives of the Lost PR machine are itchin’ to buzz buzz buzz buzzzzzzz during the break, so be highly skeptical of spoilers that have not been fully verified in this Spoilers Blog, or on my blog over at LostExposed! After all, as I have said before, we would not want any inaccurate spoilers to appear in this blog, snicker snicker. The Clues blog on this episode is here: Lost Clues Blog, and will be updated after the broadcast.

The "Not In Portland" episode will be picking up after the mid-season finale that originally was broadcast in the U.S. in November 2006. There were several mini – cliffhangers that in true Lost fashion will be fully resolved in Episode 7 … NOT . One that we can count on being resolved is whether Kate runs or does not run. You hear it here with 100% certainty: What will happen is Kate decides to run and takes Sawyer with her.

As for Saywer, he had a gun to his head when we last saw him. Now Kate isn't the type to just kiss and run . So she'll take him along for the ride. While escaping, receive a little assist from Alex who mysteriously still happens to be in the woods, even thought the Others sent her home.

News Flash,..... I mean Flashback: The flashback for this episode will take us to Portland, just like the title says, "Not In Portland". Haha, nice twist huh?

Now Portland is a great place (yeah Portland), but the really good news is that we will learn pieces of Juliet’s back story in this episode. Who is she? How did she get so good with a gun? Why is she an Other instead of a nice Lostie? Did you catch the gun reference? Yes, Juliet is a pistol … expert. Look for her to aim, and pull the trigger, with deadly results. Her aim is more aligned with the Losties than we know, so look for another other to bite the dirt.

10:00 p.m. Lost ?- Not a Spoiler

Warning: This is not really a spoiler!

First it was 8:00 and it was good. Then it moved to 9:00 p.m. and it was so-so ratings time. Now its off to 10:00 p.m. starting on February 7, 2007 for everyone here in the U.S. of A. and Lost will either go up or go down. We'll see.

Personally, my prediction is it will be good for ratings and good for the lead-in shows, however, everyone may be too tired to do the after show Internet log-on to see what really happened that Lost fans love.

Lost Spoilers Blog: "The Cost of Living", Season 3 - Episode 5 of Lost

Usual Warning: If you want to remain in suspense until the broadcast, stop reading now...

These are the pre-broadcast spoilers for Season 3, Episode 5 of Lost on ABC TV in the USA. The Clues blog on this episode is here: Lost Clues Blog, and will be updated after the broadcast.

Ok, another brilliant Lost plan will be implemented by the beach Losties in order to rescue Jack, Sawyer and Kate. Yep, they will go after computer power to assist. So, it's time to go, and go hunting for a hatch computer. The computer has got to lead them to greater knowledge.

Back at the Other’s zoo, on the Other's other island, Jack keeps working his psychological warfare angle from the the fish tank. Another way of looking at his strategy is "turn Julliette" - in case Kate takes Sawyer. It is hard to determine who is playing whom.

The flashback will focus on Mr. Eko’s backstory. From Spoilerfix the episode features Nigerian woman named Amadi who is intuitive and strong and has a son, a violent warlord named Azi, and a sweet altar boy named Daniel.

The title of this episode says it all. – the cost of living. And they are not referring to economic statistics! This is the price you pay to stay alive, or else you die. Indeed, the big rumor this week is that one of our favorite characters dies. That’s right Mr. Eko. I have to tell you I am pretty skeptical about this rumor and my misdirection radar is beeping away on it. The “official” rumor leaked out through TV Guide - who usually gets it right when it comes to Lost - is:

“Next week, a major character (as in a series regular) whose name is not Sawyer will join Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia and Libby in the big island in the sky. And you're not going to believe who it is. I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes”

The whispered rumor connected to this PR hype is that it is Mr. Eko who dies. Unfortunately the readers of this 100% accurate blog :) should bet this is a spoiler and one of the most loved Losties is a goner.

To the contrary, the flashback for this episode will be Mr. Eko’s. Why spend all the production dollars on someone you are firing? Ok I’m on the fence on this one, leaning to a bye bye Eko. As I said before, here, I would not want any inaccurate spoilers , so I may pull this one. For now it stays. We’ll see.
