Lost Spoilers Blog - The Beginning

Spoiler Alert: Don't read this blog if you don't want
to know the future of Lost.

Q - When is a date not a date?
A - In Contender's Lost Spoilers Blog.

Why? We can see the future, of course. After all, that's what Lost spoilers are all about!

Did you notice the date of this post? It's in the future ... woooooooo (scary scifi sounds!). Actually, it's so it appears first, as the software puts everything in reverse chron order.

In this blog, take the dates with a big grain of salt. What they mean is either (1) the date the spoiler is supposed to happen, like the episode in which it occurs, or (2) the real date I made the post. How you might ask can readers tell the difference? Not sure says the blogger ;) .

I think it will all make sense eventually. So keep coming back, and have fun!

Intro: This is my blog on spoilers found in the Lost series from ABC. I will continue to post my blog on LostExposed.com, so go there for a lot of the episode clues or spoilers that I am posting. Here in this blog, I will focus more on spoilers as compared to my blog at Lost Exposed in a different format, and I also will add in some new stuff as I think of it!

UK Lost Spoilers

This post is for U.K. Only Lost Spoilers

I'm finding that a lot of readers of this blog are coming in from the UK, even though we are on the U.S. schedule. So this post provides an index of our spoiler posts for the first six episodes of Series 3 of the Lost show.

Are the British being discriminated against by the Lost producers by the synching delay? Hey, the U.K. is lucky: NO WINTER HIATUS like in the U.S. In the U.S. these Lost episodes were broadcast in October and November followed by a 13 week break so ABC could broadcast Daybreak. Not a bad series, but they wound up cancelling it for low ratings. Sheesh. Enough complaining.

My spoilers posts for those episodes are dated a few days prior to the U.S. episode. However for our U.K. members, that schedule does not correspond to the actual broadcast dates. So, to bring sense to this potentially confusing situation, the Lost Spoilers Blog Blogger is here.

10:00 p.m. Lost ?- Not a Spoiler

Warning: This is not really a spoiler!

First it was 8:00 and it was good. Then it moved to 9:00 p.m. and it was so-so ratings time. Now its off to 10:00 p.m. starting on February 7, 2007 for everyone here in the U.S. of A. and Lost will either go up or go down. We'll see.

Personally, my prediction is it will be good for ratings and good for the lead-in shows, however, everyone may be too tired to do the after show Internet log-on to see what really happened that Lost fans love.

Spoilers Blog for "I DO" - The Mini-Mid-Season Finale of Lost Season 3 – Episode 6.

If you want to remain in suspense until the broadcast, stop reading now...

The Clues blog on this episode is here: Lost Clues Blog.

This episode is actually a mini-finale, mini - cliffhanger and all. Lost takes a 13 week break coming back in late Winter for the Nielson ratings sweeps. Lost is a ratings powerhouse and the programming gurus at ABC would never squander that opportunity. Idea Idea Idea

This episode will end in mini - rousing season finale form, with a real mini - suspense-filled cliff hanger to keep Lost fans on edge with anticipation for the show’s return. The cliff hanger revealed at the end of this mother of all spoiler blogs Rolling Eyes .

The title of this episode is literal – “I do” – as in Kate getting married in a flashback, saying “I do”. We will see Kate (aka "Monica") in a white wedding dress taking vows with Kevin, portrayed by Nate Fillion. She's a fugitive. More on Nate here.

If it wasn't clear enough already, Kate also picks Sawyer (again) in another "I do" moment. This one was so obvious to anyone reading the Clues Blog on LostExposed.com that I did not include it in the original version of the Spoilers Blog.

Back on the little Island, the Others continue to press Jack to operate on Ben. Jack warns Ben his tumor is almost terminal, and will become inoperable within a week. Talk about pressure on everyone. Ben promises all the surgical equipment necessary. However, Jack resists performing the surgery.

So what do the lovable Others do to help Jack with his decision? Look for other Others' ways to put pressure on him of course. They cut off the surgeon's hands Mr. Green ... ok Not really. They use Kate to beg. Jack - having become a savvy negotiator this season - figures out they have done something to Kate. She lets on they threatened to kill Sawyer if Jack fails to cooperate. Chuck Norris Jack sees the Others have gotten to her and boots her out. This is not to disrespect her, but to demonstrate his own personal power to the mean Others.

expect more than one unanswered question, i.e. cliffhangers, after all this is Lost and we love it that way. Exclamation

The Spoilers From Pre-Broadcast of Lost Season 3, Episode 3, "Further Instructions"

Clues blog on this episode is here: http://lostexposed.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=234, and was updated after the broadcast.

Fascinatingly ABC switch the broadcast date of this episode from second to third episode of the season. Just before the airing ABC delayed it a week - creating an unusual air of mystery about this episode.

If all the hype is to be believed, this episode focus back on the hatchlings, Desmond, Locke and Mr. Eko, FINALLY. What happened to them anyway? I know... They survived! With a few nicks and bruises to show for it. So, even though the hatch door blew clear to the beach, the guys inside are fine, don't worry about it. Whew!

There has been some misdirection out there on whether the flashback will be on Claire's backstory or Locke's backstory. Let's bet on Locke for this one, my sources say Very Happy .

Here is the "official" word from ABC's Medianet report. The creators have been known for misdirection before, so take this report -- and any spoiler Rolling Eyes -- for what it is:

"Ian Somerhalder guest stars as Boone" - Boone is back.

"The fates of Locke, Eko and Desmond are revealed after the implosion of the hatch, while Hurley returns to the beach camp to tell the tale of what happened when he, Jack, Kate and Sawyer encountered "The Others."

"Meanwhile, Claire is shocked to find Nikki and Paulo in Jack's tent. ...

The guest stars are:

Kiele Sanchez as Nikki
Rodrigo Santoro as Paulo -- I heard Rodrigo will become a regular cast member.
Ian Somerhalder as Boone
Justin Chatwin as Eddie
Chris Mulkey as Mike
Virginia Morris as Jan
Joel Himelhoch as sheriff
Dion Donahue as Kim

Spoilers on "Glass Ballerina", Lost Season 3, Episode 2 Spoilers

Warning: Pre-Broadcast Spoilers on the future of Lost ahead.

As usual with Lost, there are a lot of spoiler rumours floating around. Count on the spoilers blogger to sort through them all and find the nuggets of complete accuracy ... or at least a semblance thereof :).

Here are a few of the rumours. I am posting them separately from my episode clues blog so people who do not want to read spoilers can avoid more easily. Click here to go back to the Clues Blog.

Ok. Sayid is determined to find the Others' camp and hunt down his lost Lost comrades. The Others spot his sailboat (also crewed by Jin and Sun) and Ben decides he wants to capture it. So, they plot and ambush Sayid. A gunfight ensues in which one of the Others is killed. Sayid does not pursue them deciding to go back to regroup with the other losties -- after a debate with Sun.

Ben aka Fake Henry makes a proposal to Jack, namely that Jack provide medical assistance and other Other assistance. Jack at this point is thoroughly beaten down but resists. Not known how ambiguous his refusal is portrayed.

This also could give us some insight into how The Others turned Michael into a robotized assassin. Previoiusly Michael was portrayed as a coward.

Ok those are the biggies. Let's wait 'till Wednesday and enjoy the show. Come back on Wednesday or Thursday for my show blog. I may blog real time, depending on how coherent my thoughts look when I type them out!
